Hi I’m David Wood-brignall,

I’ve been fished for over 40 years. I enjoy all styles of fishing. But favour sea fishing from shore.

My largest UK fish have been a 40lb+ shore caught tope, a 80lb boat caught conger. I’ve been fortunate to land some cracking specimen fish in the UK over the years bass to 17lb 4oz, cod to 29lb14oz, whiting 5lb 10oz, black bream 5lb.

One of my best achievements was winning the UK SAMF Masters back in 2015.
I enjoy new and fresh challenges of fishing new marks around the UK.

Targeting new species I would say these days my speciality is targeting halibut in Norway. I had some great teachers out there John strange and Phil Hambrook. I’m now part of the team out there, working as a fishing guide. Helping visiting anglers make there dreams come true.

I’ve been very lucky out there catching some exceptional fish including halibut of 153lb 8oz(european record) 135lb, 102lb and 87lb Along with ling of 52lb
And another European record a redfish of 2.1kg. All these fish are caught from the shore.
